Gogo is the Zulu word for Grandmother

The Richmond Gogos form part of an international movement – the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign of the Stephen Lewis Foundation.

We raise funds to support and empower African grandmothers caring for their grandchildren orphaned by the HIV/AIDS pandemic.

We work to build awareness in our community of the courage of these women in Africa.

We also work to foster solidarity between African and Canadian grandmothers.
